As a result of being derived from the AMPTEC 620A-4 Intrinsically Safe Igniter Circuit Tester, the 630BN independently certified to meet Mil. Std. 810 Mtd. 511’s Intrinsically Safety Standards for usage in fuel-laden vaporous environments.
AMPTEC’s 630BN 4-Range Ohmmeter is significantly more intelligent than most others with the introduction of the novel self-test function. With multiple safety approvals, a durable/waterproof yet compact case, standard accuracy Test Resistors (the self-test feature), a shielded Faraday cage design for noise suppression, the AMPTEC 630BN is one of the industry leaders for the safest and smartest products of its kind. The AMPTEC 630BN Intrinsically Safe ~ Failsafe Ohmmeter is specifically designed for in-circuit testing of squibs, flares, bridge-wire, and other explosive pyrotechnic devices. It provides 1mΩ resolution on the 20Ω range and 10Ω resolution on the 200KΩ range.
Functional Test Section – The 630BN Functional Test Section provides added measurement integrity using a milliammeter and test resistors to cross check the overall 630ES operation whenever desired.
