AMPTEC 620BH Intrinsically Safe Igniter Tester Ohmmeter

The AMPTEC 620BH Intrinsically Safe – Failsafe Ohmmeter is specifically designed for in-circuit testing on squibs, flares, bridge-wire, and other explosive pyrotechnic devices. The 620BH offers low-range and high-range resistance measurement solutions while incorporating a fail-safe current limiting resistor network circuitry to ensure test currents cannot exceed 8 mA.

The 620BH’s 4-Ohmic ranges cover from a 2Ω range on the low end with 100µΩ resolution to 20MΩ with 1KΩ resolution on the high range.   The full scale display is 19999 LEDs thereby providing 1mΩ resolution on the 20Ω range. Attributed to its proven and documented intense Self-Safety design along with numerous safety certifications, the 620A-4 and its family of AMPTEC 620 Series of Igniter In-Circuit Testers are the Industry Standard for Military, Aircraft and Aerospace programs requiring Ultra-Safe Igniter Circuitry Testing. This 620BH was clone/derived from the USAF Non-Nuclear Munitions Safety Board approved AMPTEC 620A-4 Igniter Circuit Tester Ohmmeter design. As a result of being derived from the AMPTEC 620A-4 Intrinsically Safe Igniter Circuit Tester, the 620BH is lineage independently certified to meet Mil. Std. 810 Mtd. 511’s Intrinsically Safety Standards for usage in fuel-laden vaporous environments.
