AMPTEC 601ES Intrinsically Safe DMM ~Fail Safe Igniter Tester Ohmmeter
AMPTEC’s 601ES is an Intrinsically Safe Digital Multimeter, available at discount pricing from ATEquip, Amptec’s worldwide distributor. The Multimeter supports in-circuit safe ordnance testing. The DMM safely measures stray voltage circuitry (RMS AC and DC), stray current as well as resistance using the failsafe output circuitry proprietary to AMPTEC RESEARCH. This circuitry assures/ensures that test current levels from the 601ES will not exceed the specified “failsafe current level” even in the remote event of a worst-case component failure situation. The Failsafe feature is tested in every instrument before shipment. A built-in passive (analog) DC Milliammeter also allows user verification of the 601ES DMM’s actual current output levels prior to connection to any EBW, squib or detonator.
AMPTEC 601ES Intrinsically Safe for In-Circuit Testing of Explosive Devices
AMPTEC’s 601ES Safety Digital Multimeter is used to measure stray voltage, current and resistance in harsh weather environments. Additionally, all internal circuits are conformal coated, contains an internal all-metal Faraday cage, and has a built-in self-test to ensure ultimate integrity of measurement. The 601ES DMM is approved by the NASA/WFF Safety Office for compliance with the WFF Range Safety Manual (RSM) and USAF’s Space Wing (AFSPC) because of its ultra-safe design.
The 601ES is DNA clone related to the AMPTEC 620A-4 Intrinsically Safe, Fail-Safe Igniter Circuit Tester. Attributed to its proven and documented intense Self-Safety design along with numerous safety certifications, the 620A-4 and its family of AMPTEC 600 Series of Igniter Circuit Testers are the Industry Standard for Military, Aircraft and Aerospace programs requiring Ultra-Safe Igniter Circuit Testing. AMPTEC’s 601ES Safety Ohmmeter is approved by the USAF Non-Nuclear Munitions Safety Board for usage on all non-nuclear munitions. It is independently certified to meet Mil. Std. 810G Part 13 Mtd. 511.5’s Intrinsically Safety Standards for usage in fuel-laden vaporous environments.
