The compact and versatile V7X Series provides AC and DC output
voltages up to 5KV and is available in a variety of models depending on the features and capabilities you require. The color touchscreen of the V7X makes it very easy to use. The low cost V7X series offers up to 20mA of sourcing for AC and up to 10mA for DC. The V7X can measure IR up to 90 gig-ohms at 1000V. Fluke HiPot Testers
Fluke offers both HiPot Testers and Hand-held Megohmmeter Safety Testers. The Fluke 1550C HiPot Tester, an insulation resistance tester, in addition offers digital insulation testing up to 5 kV, making them ideal for testing a wide range of high voltage equipment including switch-gear, motors, generators and cables. The Fluke 1555 offers up to 10KV test voltage.
Fluke HiPOT Testers can conduct the entire range of test voltages specified in IEEE 43-2000 with a best in class, 3 year warranty and CAT IV 600 V safety rating. With measurement storage and PC interface, the 1550C is the perfect tool for preventative or predictive maintenance programs that help to identify potential equipment failures before they occur.
AEMC HiPOT Testers
AEMC® manufactures a complete line of HiPOT Testers, insulation testers, that test the quality of insulation resistance using 5000V, 10,000V and 15,000V test voltages required for testing large motors, generators, transformers and cables. Both analog and digital meters are available. AC powered and battery powered models are available. Most models will measure into the GΩ and TΩ ranges. All models offer multi-function capability, measuring AC/DC volts, resistance and continuity as well as insulation resistance. Both hand held instruments and rugged instruments built into portable cases are available.
Megger HiPOT Testers
Megger’s portable HiPOT Testers are portable DCV dielectric test sets that check the electrical insulation quality of electrical equipment. This includes, for example, motors, power cables, switch-gear, insulators, transformers and capacitors. Typical applications include acceptance and maintenance testing of critical equipment used by electrical utility substations. This also is applicable for industrial plant distribution systems. Power apparatus manufacturers may also use the equipment to perform QA/QC production tests.
HiPot Testers available from Megger tests the dielectric strength of electrical insulation and ground circuit continuity. As well, this applies to three-wire appliances and other devices. Also, testing is equally applicable either in the field or at the end of a production line. All five instruments comply with the UL 120 k-ohm requirement. These compact, portable instruments incorporate all the latest features for dielectric withstand testing. Foremost, they comply in accordance with IEC1010 safety requirements for Installation Category II use. They also meet UL requirements for such testing including UL 1026, UL 544, UL 982 and UL 1270.
Instek HiPOT Testers include both the GPT-9900 series, with 500VA maximum output capacity and the GPT-9800 series with 200VA capability.
