The AMPTEC's optically isolated serial interface allows complete remote control (i.e. change to the desired range). Remote reading of the actual igniter (squib) resistance is completely controlled by the serial interface of a PC (i.e. COM2 port). For safety purposes, the optically coupled interface is designed to be electronically isolated (protected) and will withstand up to 5,300 VRMS input or output via the Option "232" isolated serial interface.

To continually use the AMPTEC 620A-4,especially in an automated application with a computer would eventually drain any battery powered unit. Option "247" allows the AMPTEC 620A-4 Igniter Tester to be safely operated 24 Hrs/Day 7 Days/Week continuously.  It is based upon the same "Hospital Safety Isolation" technology used in monitoring and diagnosing human patients while wired/connected to 120 VAC powered electrical instrumentation.  This Ultra High Line Isolation DC/DC convertor based option is rated to 3,000 volts isolation.

4-Terminal Kelvin Mini-Probes Each probe has two spring loaded, gold plated, steel with 0.18" separation. (one red and one black handheld probe). Excellent general purpose Mini-Probe, and along with the Option "300" Kelvin Clip Leads easily fit inside the AMPTEC 620ES Test Lead Pouch (OP110).
