The Megohmmeter Model 1045 &1040 are battery powered digital insulation resistance testers. They are designed to measure insulation resistance, continuity, voltage and to measure resistance. The Model 1045 & 1040 test Voltages are 250V(1045 only), 500V and 1000V. They incorporates a 600V voltmeter which automatically detects and accurately displays AC/DC voltages in the test circuit on each of the insulation test voltage ranges. Above 25V it also provides an audible an visual signal, and inhibits further tests, thus protecting the user and the meter.
An exceptionally large digital/analog multi-function display provides clear and easy readings enhanced by a bright blue electroluminescent backlight. The AEMC Megohmmeters incorporate a timer function which allows the user to operate the unit hands free for the duration of the test or until the button is pressed again. The megohmmeter will beep automatically at 30sec, 60sec and 10 minutes to remind the user to record measurements.
