Vitrek 4610A High Voltage Resistance Standard/Hipot Calibrator
The 4610A High Voltage Resistance Standard has been engineered specifically for the calibration and performance verification of Hipot and Insulation Resistance test equipment. The Vitrek 4610A can be combined with the Vitrek 4620B Precision High Voltage Meter to form a complete Hipot Insulation/ Resistance calibration system. Acting as a precision high voltage load, the 4610A can be used to draw as little as 100nA and up to 20mA from the device under calibration.
Designed for High Voltage Stability and Accuracy
The long term stable performance designed into the Vitrek 4610A is directly attributable to highly specialized High Voltage load resistors selected for the design. This chain of six High Voltage load resistors exhibit special performance characteristic such as sub-1ppm/V Voltage Coefficients and sub-1ppm/mW Power Coefficients on the 1 Ω load resistor at power dissipations ≥ 100mW.
Calibrated Hipot Precision Load ~ Portable
The Vitrek 4610A is a production line oriented calibrated load presenting an easy, fast, reliable means of verifying proper operation Hipot Test equipment. As a portable instrument it is the fastest and most accurate methodology for performance verification on high voltage test equipment like Hipot Testers and Meggers. The high isolation of the 4610A, allows it to check device performance – free of circulating ground loop currents. The 4610A is designed with a unique ladder network potentiometer to permit precision, high resolution adjustment of the internal reference resistors over a relatively wide range. Because the actual value of each precision resistance element is extremely close to the nominal value, the 4610A simplifies calibration calculations for typical applications.
Precision High Voltage Calibration at 1 Kilo-Volt
The 4610A is calibrated at 1000V, the most common test point for high voltage device verification, so accuracy is maximized and there are no coefficients to apply - as typical required with ordinary resistors. The conservative power rating of the resistance elements in the 4610A means that you can expect years of trouble free service.
NIST Traceable Calibration and CE Compliance
The Vitrek 4610A is supplied with a Calibration Certification with accuracies traceable to NIST.  The certificate is accompanied with data per ANSI/NCSL Z540. When it comes to compliance, the 4610A has CE mark certification to EN61010, EN50081-1 and EN50082-2.
