Instek GSP-80 3GHz Spectrum Analyzer
The Instek GSP-830 3GHz Spectrum Analyzer is the latest evolution in the Instek Spectrum Analyzer family featuring high performance, uncompromised design and remote monitoring software. The Instek GSP-830 is one of the most advanced Spectrum Analyzer Instek has produced to date. The Instek GSP-830 Spectrum Analyzer has an exceptional noise floor of -152dBm/Hz, and combined with the optional GAP-802 preamplifier, the noise floor can reach a remarkable -172dBm/Hz. With a low noise floor the GSP-830 is more than capable of finding limits and Trace Detection combined with an easy-to-use interface, make the GSP-830 is an ideal solution for spectrum analysis. Using the Auto Sequence mode, advanced users can define their own macros in 10 Sequence sets and Repeat or Single run mode can be used to streamline repetitive tasks. PC connection is effortless and versatile supporting USB host/device, RS232C, VGA and GPIB (optional) for remote monitoring, control and analysis.

Instek GSP-830 Highlight Benefits
Instek now extends its Spectrum Analyzer product series up to 3GHz. As a new member, the GSP-830 inherits the advantages of high performance, affordable cost, ease of use and light-weight portability, common in Instek Spectrum Analyzers. Its extremely low noise floor, via an advanced user interface, greatly increases the measurement range resulting in a significant visual enhancement as well as the rich measurement functions making measurements simple and easy. The Instek GSP-830 offers the greatest performance/price value in the market.
Instek GSP-830 Wide Measurement Range
With GW Instek's state-of-the-art design, the Instek GSP-830's outstanding low noise floor level of -152dBm/Hz at 1GHz has extreme sensitivity for picking up weak signals. Along with the GAP-802 20dB-gain preamplifier, the GSP-830 reaches an equivalent noise floor level as low as -172dBm/Hz, further extending the measurement range.
GSP-830 is Computer Independent for Automatic Measurement System
The Instek GSP-830 Spectrum Analyzer can be an automatic test instrument eliminating the need for external computer control. Macros can be defined through the front panel keypad and stored into 10 Sequence sets. A sequence can include pause steps that can be used for observing the measurement results when necessary. Repeat or Single run mode can be selected based on application requirements.
Instek GSP-830 Lends to Portable Power Operations
Equipped with two packs of Li-ion batteries, the GSP-830 can maintain normal operation for more than 3 hours. In DC operation mode the Instek GSP-830 can to be powered by a 12-Volt power supply or a standard cigarette lighter in an automobile. The large internal memory of the Instek GSP-830 means mass storage of measured traces, setup information, limit lines and user-defined macros is possible. With USB flash drive support for mass storage, weighing 6kg and a compact size, the GSP-830 Spectrum Analyzer is also a convenient tool for service engineers out in the field.
Instek GSP-830 Features Flash Drive Interface
The USB host port on the Instek GSP-830's front panel supports flash drives for various functions, including loading/saving setup information, trace data and screen captures. The rear panel USB slave port is used for PC remote control. The Instek GSP-830 Spectrum Analyzer's screen image can be sent directly to external monitors through the VGA port on the rear panel. These features make it easy for remote monitoring in special circumstances such as EMI testing, group presentations or discussions.
Free PC Software for the GSP-830
Through RS-232 or USB connection, EagleShot can transfer measurement data from the Instek GSP-830 Spectrum Analyzer to a PC. Data can be printed as graphs or saved as a text file for further data analysis. With the EagleShot software, the limit lines can be uploaded from the Instek GSP-830 or edited directly on the PC. For marking and reading the captured signals on the PC screen, markers can be placed directly on the PC display, as easily as doing it on the GSP-830 front panel. The latest version of EagleShot supports the GSP-830 in various application fields whilst maintaining compatibility with the Instek GSP-830 Spectrum Analyzer.
| Instek GSP-830 AUTOSET FUNCTION |

|
Instek's GSP-830 Features Auto-Signal Capture
Going through rigorous training sessions and trial-and-error used to be a common process to master how to use a Spectrum Analyzer. That is not the case with the Instek GSP-830. The Autoset function automatically captures the signal and configures the optimal display setting in just one step. For complex signals, settings such as amplitude and frequency span can still be manually adjusted to display the desired signal. With the GSP-830's Autoset function, using a spectrum analyzer is no longer a complicated experience.

|
Instek's GSP-830 Features Delta-Marker and Multi-Marker Modes
The Instek GSP-830 Spectrum Analyzer allows operating flexibility under both Delta-Marker mode and Multi-Marker mode. Up to 10 markers can be selected to show their absolute frequency and amplitude in a table on the screen. The relative frequency and amplitude of the selected markers-to-reference marker can be shown quite easily.
All Markers provide fast and comprehensive interpretations of measurements with full marking capabilities including: Peak Search, Marker to Center, and Peak Track.
| Instek GSP-830 Spectrum Analyzer MARKER FUNCTION |
|
Instek GSP-830 Spectrum Analyzer Features 5-Pairs of Flexible Markers
Under Marker mode, 5 pairs of flexible markers can be used to easily find and observe signal peaks, track them or measure delta readings between defined pairs. A tabled list provides a real-time update of the frequency and power information of all markers to observe signal details quickly and easily. |
Instek GSP-830 Spectrum \Analyzer Pass/Fail Judgements |

Pass/Fail Automatic Judgement for Repetitive Measurements featured by Instek's GSP-830
The Pass/Fail Limit function is convenient for quick inspections of repetitive measurements. This function is especially helpful for the efficiency and productivity of production line testing. After setting high/low limits to create Pass/ Fail templates, the Instek GSP-830 can quickly determine whether the waveform of an input signal is within the specified range (Pass) or not (Fail). |
| Instek GSP-830 Spectrum Analyzer TRIGGER FUNCTION |
Instek GSP-830 Spectrum Analyzer AUTO SEQUENCE MODE |

The extensive triggering features add very flexible yet powerful triggering capabilities to the GSP-830. Trigger source, mode, delay and frequency can be fully configured to isolate the right trigger conditions.
|

Automatic Sequence feature offers a special functionality that frees you from complex programming; you can configure ATE test programs with the GSP-830 without going through software programming processes. After editing the auto sequence sets through the GSP-830 front panel, you can easily run different
measurements in series (by a single key press) or carry out all the test sequences step by step.

| Instek GSP-830 Spectrum Analyzer THREE- TRACE INDEPENDENT DETECTION |
|
The GSP-830 is able to display three traces at once with various signal detection modes such as: peak, average, and sample. The other useful trace functions include trace math operations using the stored traces. |
