Fluke Hart Scientific 5627A Platinum Resistance RTD PRT Temperature Detector/Sensors
Fluke Hart's 5627A RTD PRT probes have a temperature range up to 420 °C and an accuracy as good as ± 0.025 °C. Hart's 5627As come in three different lengths. (Both six- and nine-inch models cover –200 °C to 300 °C.) Each 5627A is shipped with its ITS-90 coefficients and a calibration table in 1 °C increments. The real issues are price-to-accuracy and price-to-durability ratios. One of the best features of this sensor is that it conforms to the standard 385 curve, letting you use your DIN/IEC RTD meters fully. Why use a probe that’s less accurate than your meter?

Hart's RTD PRTs have Performance ~ Reliability ~ Durability
When buying a RTD PRT, performance isn’t the only criterion you need to look at. Hart's 5627A is manufactured using a coil suspension element design for increased shock and vibration resistance. The 5627A has a mineral-insulated sheath with a minimum bend radius of 19 mm (3/4-inch) for flexibility and durability. (Bend, if any, should be specified at time of order.) This probe is an excellent value. It has the price-to-accuracy and price-to-durability ratios you should demand in every PRT you buy!
Each Hart 5627A comes with a NVLAP-Accredited Report of Calibration
Hart's six inch (6") and nineinch (9") 5627As are calibrated at –196 °C, –38 °C, 0 °C, 200 °C, and 300 °C. For 12-inch versions the point at 300 °C is replaced by a calibration point at 420 °C. Each Hart 5627A probe is individually calibrated and includes a NVLAP-accredited report of calibration from the manufacturer, lab code 200706-0.

The temperature range of the 5616 covers –200 °C to 420 °C, and its high-purity platinum element and durability make it great for calibrating in the lab or in the field. When choosing a reference with a platinum element, there are two things you want to look at carefully: the short-term repeatability and the long-term drift. When PRTs are thermally cycled over their temperature range as they would be during a calibration, their resistance at the triple point of water can move up and down within an expected range. Hart Scientific defines this range (called “short-term repeatability”) as the repeatability at the triple point of water during three thermal cycles. 5616s are among the best performing in their class with short-term repeatability better than ± 0.010 °C (± 0.004 °C is typical). In addition, the 5616’s drift is ± 0.007 °C at the triple point of water when exposed up to its maximum temperature (420 °C) for 100 hours. These specifications are given at k=2 and therefore include a 95 % confidence level.
The 5616’s sealed INCONEL® 600 sheath is 298 mm (11.75 in) long and 6.35 mm (0.250 in) in diameter. The probe’s Teflon®-jacketed cable is made of silver plated copper that ends with four-wire leads, which eliminate the effects of lead-wire resistance on measurements.
Use the 5616 with Hart’s 1560 Black Stack, 1529 Chub-E4, or 1502A Tweener thermometer readouts.
Each sensor comes with a manufacturer’s report of calibration. The report includes the expanded uncertainty (k=2) at seven calibration temperature points, ITS-90 calibration coefficients, and a temperature vs. resistance table presented in 1 °C increments.
