The Biddle Megger 220005 Dielectric Test Sets measure leakage current while applying DC Voltages up to 5KV to test the integrity of a system’s insulation operating level. This measurement aids in determining the insulation system's ability to withstand over-voltages such as lightning strikes and switching surges. Biddle’s model 220015 is a 15-kV model for use on equipment rated 7.5 KV and below. It is suitable for testing power cable, switchgear and rotating machinery in accordance with IEEE, ICEA, NEMA and ANSI guidelines.
