Derived from the USAF's AMPTEC 620LK-B Bonding Ohm Meter, the brand new AMPTEC 620LK Low Resistance Ohm Meter is an intrinsically Safe Bonding Milliohmmeter that measures even lower bond resistance levels with even better resolution and better accuracy. This Bonding Tester was designed originally for measuring very low resistance bonds that are less than ½ milliohm (on the Lockheed Martin F-35 Tiger Shark). The AMPTEC 620LK Bonding Ohm Meter's failsafe constant current source operates at ten times the level (100 mA vs 10 mA) of the AMPTEC 620LK-B Bonding Ohmmeter. The higher current level provides the AMPTEC 620LK with rock solid accurate readings below 1/2 or 0.5 milliohms with 0.01 milliohm resolution and a very high 0.1 milliohm accuracy

Amptec's Bonding Tester 620LK with its "Auto-Lock" feature automatically "Locks-On" & holds (displays) the lowest ohm bond measurement for 10 seconds then automatically resets. The intelligent AMPTEC 620LK's "Auto-locks", once continuity is established, locks onto the lowest resistance (bond) measurement automatically. This allows the operator to focus on proper Kelvin probe placement on the bonding surface(i.e. aircraft) without having to look at the meter while measuring, no range changes to deal with, no zeroing of the test leads. No erroneous readings, only when continuity is made, does it continuously sample measurements and lock in the lowest resistance reading and holds/displays it for 10 seconds (display backlight also comes on), then automatically resets (or manually select the front panel "Auto Measure Reset" switch to start over)

Amptec's 620SL Low Resistance Explosive Safety Bonding Tester Ohm Meter is a portable Intrinsically Safe Explosive Safety Digital Milli-Ohm Meter.  It was specifically designed (and UK Ministry of Defense EEX Approved) for ultra-safe resistance testing around fueling depots (flammable vapours present), Aircraft bonds/connections, refineries and explosive devices (i.e. squibs, igniters, flares, detonators, munitions, warheads) in volatile and explosive atmospheres.  The AMPTEC620LK Bonding Tester complies with the EU ATEX Directive and is Intrinsic Safety Standard (Eex-ib-IIc-T4) compliant and certified under the ATEX Laboratory Certificate # SIRA03ATEX2076.  Amptec's 620LK is Intrinsically Safe certified and can be safely used and "located where flammable gases and vapours of groups IIA, IIB, and IIC are present".  The620LK Ohmmeter is only certified for use in ambient temperatures in the range of -20°C and +40°C and should not be used outside this temparature range. The AMPTEC620LK Safety Ohmmeter is also: EMC tested in accordance with British Defence Standard 59-41 and British Defence Standards 66-31, 07-85 and 05-34 (-40° Cold temperature, Damp Heat +°70C, Humidity and Altitude tests) compliant.  The620LK Ohmmeter provides a reliable and safe means of measuring resistance in explosive and volatile atmospheres.

CERTIFIED MIL STD 810 METHOD 511 EXPLOSIVE AND VOLATILE ATMOSPHERE COMPLIANT~Safe Use in Fuel-Air Mixtures

Independent Certification - Environmental Test Laboratory in Los Angeles, CA - While fully operational, the AMPTEC 620LK Explosive Safety Bond Meter's test leads were successfully shorted then "opened" 400 times in the "saturated"  explosive atmospheric fuel air mixture (Per MIL STD 810 Method 511 Rev F. "Explosive Atmospheres"). Independent Certification tests were conducted at Stork Garwood Laboratories, report number ENV8655SC, Rev:1.

It was shown to be fully MIL STD 810 Method 511 Rev F. "Explosive and Volatile Atmospheres" compliant @ +50°C.  This means the AMPTEC 620LK Safety Bond Milliohmmeter when making contact with the item under test ( aircrfat chassis, fuel tank etc) does not produce sparks with minimal kinetic energy levels (not hazardous, will not ignite jet fuel or other volatile hydrocarbons).

Intrinsically Safe Ohmmeter - EeX-ib-IIC-T4 British Defense Standard Compliant

The620LK circuitry has been independently laboratory certified as EEx "Intrinsically Safe" more than just safe in the unlikely event of a worst case component failure.  The AMPTEC620LK Explosive Safety Ohmmeter output current limiting is still in effect, regardless of component failure by total design insite and compliance to the International Safety Standard of EeX-ib-IIC-T4.

MIL STD 810, Method 511, rev F "Explosive and Volatile Atmosphere" Laboratory Tested
The AMPTEC620LK Explosive Safety Ohmmeter has been independently laboratory certified as MIL STD 810, Method 511 (revision F) Explosive and Volatile Atmosphere compliant up to +50°C. The AMPTEC620LK Safety Ohmmeter was remotely operated in an explosive atmospheric chamber ( Air fuel mixed with highly volatile hexane ). While fully operational, the AMPTEC 620LK  test lead contacts were successfully shorted then and disconnected 400 times in the explosive atmospheric fuel air mixture and shown to be fully compliant @ +50°C.
